What it Takes to Be a Great Chef

Do you love cooking different recipes and experimenting with food? Do you think you have the potential of being a great chef in a five-star hotel or restaurant? 3.) Optimistic and patient
- A good chef must be optimistic and jolly all the time. He must know how to interact with his fellow chefs and with their customers. Studies show that foods usually taste great if the one cooking is in a happy mood so chef should always be in a great mood.

4.) Knows the basic kitchen utensils such as the following:

Measuring spoons -used in measuring ingredients especially for pastries and are available in different sizes.

Measuring cups - available in different sizes.

Funnel - a simple kitchen utensils used in transferring liquid materials like oil or baking powder

Jar opener - available in the market from a simple rubber gripper or hi-tech electric jar openers.

Mortar and Pestle - this is one of the most common kitchen utensils for crushing or mashing spices and food. Its features never changes during the past few years.

Those who have the passion for cooking and wants to be a chef must also be opened minded and must be dedicated to the job. The number one goal of a chef is to satisfy their valued customers so chefs should always be able to prepare delicious, mouth-watering dishes that customers surely won't forget.

Aside from cooking well, chefs must be able to present their dishes in an impressive way because customers love to see wonderful food preparation. Foods taste much better if cooked and prepared with passion, dedication and determination, thus, given these characteristics, chefs can surely satisfy their customers with the food they serve.
